1899

1899 Netflix. Mysterious Period drama

Olek (got to be polish? Yep heard proof later). English and french & some other languages

The Prometheus has been missing for 4 months was supposed to have 1000 on board when co-op ordinates are telegraohed over and over. A 7 hour detour to see if it is the lost ship. The redhead seems to have visions, one i caught seemed to be a scarab beetle..or some sort. From the image in beginning i think this has to do with the Bermuda triangle or some place like it. When they inspect the ship they find a boy in a cabinet. He hands them a black pyramid Also seems someone just came out of the water dripping wet ..and lets same beetle in room 1013 2 The boy Wtf how were they on the boat and begin

ep 2 capt is on land .. must be a flashback So what happened on that ship which was supposed to be missing 4 months, however looked i say more like a year (and dad agreed) The boy wont speak so obviously traumatized. The compasses are all over The captain is as well for other reasons and reason for beginning scene. Climbs through a fireplace, out into a bedroom… The floorboards has a pyramid with a line through it The boy has same symbol behind his ear Yeah i think the guy that had beetle was on other ship. The rug in hall has the same symbol 3 the fog I feel a mutiny coming That weird water guy with some little puzzle thing End episode . What. The. **** How the *** and where tf!!!! Most if not all of the passengers have a secret some sort of sin The ship is low on coal and still far from any land be it from where they departed or Europe. I told dad i bet you such n such scenario End of ep 6….

I told you so ,😂. So predictable cliche Though is sort of Westworld vibes dont recall is one of the series creators is from that. But there are trippy twists and turns The predictable was i guess a red herring to throw us off. Good and bad. The bad is others may have stopped at that point but with 2 episodes left (and didn’t fathom why) Its a head trip but doesn’t hurt like Dark (which you will recognize the captain from) So now… Not sure if i fo or do not like the ending. Its a wake up call in more ways than one. Creepy spooky a maze of sorts. Has a sort of slow build in the first episode or 2 then gets its freak flag on.

Kingdom: Ashin of the North

2021 foreign, horror, 1:33

This special ‘episode’ (more like movie) is a build-up narrative of the back story of both the origin of the resurrection plant and the mystery behind Ashin’s identity.

The plot presents the sufferings and pains of Ashin and how they resulted in her dark vengeance against the people who caused the suffering.

The beginning starts something about a war or something, was trying to read the subtitles and write my notes but that didn’t work out. Basically there’s something about those that have lived in jureon (sp?) all their lives are still shunned by the locals.

Then there’s the deer (def. CG) eating in the forest and sees the resurrection plant. I forget if its those little white things under the leaves that is what makes one resurrect. Due to how it was used in the main show with the dying or already dead emperor, I was surprised at the effect it had on the deer (which although it was a fake one, I still wasn’t happy with what I saw, It dies and comes back. No matter what fake or real animal Ii don’t like seeing them suffer.

The first half of the story focuses on a young Ashin and the build-up of her story with her father, and their village.

This story was a bit easier to follow than the show. I’m still trying to work out ways to explain the plot of the first season of the series. (as well as the 2nd without giving anything away)

WandaVision

Disney+ 9 Episodes around 30-45 minutes each

As planned I subscribed to Disney+ while here, at my aunt’s house cat sitting. What better way to give a new HD tv a test then with some HD superhero antics?

As soon as I signed up I saw that there was some simpsons spoof called The Good, the Bart, and Loki was cute and funny and one line I thought before even said… ‘This is what happens when Disney buys Marvel and Fox

Wanda and Vision are living the idealized suburban life in Westview, however there’s something that tells me to suspect everything is not as it seems.

This was on MEtv’s Svengoolie show on Saturday night @ 8 est (u.s.)

Just the title gives me a bit of a laugh cause it just sounds so silly

Billy the Kid has given up his lawless quick-draw life to marry Betty. He’s working on her family’s ranch and has a tendency to put himself into police business.

Betty’s Aunt (or was it her mother) was coming with her uncle James who Betty never met. Dracula is in the coach with them, but it looks like day time WTF!?

Papillion

This is a short one

2018  R  2:13  BluRay   Adventure, Based on true events   Charlie Hunnam & Rami Malek

Its a remake from the 1973 film about  safe cracker Henri Charrieres memoir.

In Paris 1931, Henri aka papillion  makes the journey from being a safe cracker, to being framed and convicted of murder. Transferred from prison to prison (or maybe it just seemed that way) to solitary then devils island. He makes an ‘unlikely’ alliance with counter fitter Louis Dega  to finance an escape. Along the way Henri spends years planning and attempting escape breaking up the monotony.

There WERE a few scenes that could have been made shorter, but was interesting. Just give yourself an intermission or 2

I got through the whole thing no problem. I wouldn’t say its memorable as I’m sure in a month or 2  I’ll only remember I saw it and who was in it, and nothing else. Thats why this is so short. For me there’s just nothing to really write about, at least nothing I can remember that would be worth it.

The Man who invented Christmas

2017  PG 1:44 BR

Victorian Novelist Charles Dickens finds he, himself must self-publish after his most recent books have had little success.

He hopes his fable ‘a Christmas Carol’, his next book will bolster his sagging career.

He wants to finish the book, and have it illustrated, printed and published before Christmas eve to be in stores that day. 6 weeks is his deadline.

His characters talk to him this scene made me chuckle as I started a few stories and a ‘meme’ (or whatever you want to call it) I saw popped to mind

writer’s block :

When your best friends stop talking to you

Sadly this is where my notes end.

I thought I wasn’t going to like it, especially being it showed up in the new year instead of during the holidays. But I didn’t hate it. Not sure if I’d watch it again but its an interesting story (adventure) in writing and such.

Game of Thrones or Risk

This is a post I originally wrote up on writedge so while this mostly remains the same as that I have updated it for my blog so this is a back issue of sorts yet ‘new at the same time

See the source image

Peter Dinklage ,Lena Headey ,Emilia Clarke ,Kit Harington, Sophie Turner , Maisie Williams , Ian Glen, Aidan Gillen, Gwendoline Christie, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau,Isaac Hempstead Wright, Nathalie Emmanuel ,  MORE

One of my must watch (live) tv series is Game of Thrones; an epic adventure, fantasy, ‘war games’ so to speak, which is based on the book series “A Song of Fire & ice” by George R.R. Martin.

The opening credits reminds me of the Risk board game, in which was mentioned in an article about the show. I had a bit of a laugh at that and was glad it wasn’t just me that noticed it) If you have paid attention through 4 seasons to Daenerys Targaryen; she is playing Risk or so seems to me. Think about it she’s capturing cities along the way as well as capturing hearts. She’s been fair; just, letting the slaves of these cities go free; most of which choose to be in her army. She is called Kalissi which means the Mother of Dragons in which she was given three dragon eggs as her wedding gift to Khal Drogo.

The first season I think would be safe to say, had people floored not to mention jaws dropping. By now it’s no spoiler to say, the death of main character Eddard ‘Ned’ Stark (played by Sean Bean) lord of Winterfell had jaws dropping. Once this happened we knew no one would be safe as he was one of the (most ?) beloved characters of the show if not the top one or heart of it. I love that it’s not just one story, (though yes it is) but it is like multiple stories within one, and as far as the show goes is easy to follow (I’m not so sure would be the same way for me with the books but I will eventually try).

The Stark family are noble and fair they are the protectors of the North and are represtented by the direwolves.See the source image

Besides the Stark Clan, Daenerys & her brother, her husband Drogo, and her dragons we also meet the Lannisters. This family, well frankly if you are part of it, you might want to find a new one! The sister Cercei is the biggest backstabber, Tyrion is a dwarf and therefore basically considered a bastard, a womanizer and drunk, & Jamie the ‘Golden son’ is the swoon worthy handsome one who is way too close to his sister! and hey are the cause of one of the youngest Stark  boys being badly injured.

Arya is the youngest (at least of the girls) and is a tom boy, very determined. Sansa is more the damsel in distress, and immediately starts crushing on Joffrey upon meeting him. Robb Stark is the eldest and I don’t think we see him much, Bran is the youngest of the boys and has second sight and though he cannot walk of his own accord sets out with friends on a journey. Then we have quiet & a bit innocent Jon Snow which to me becomes more likable as the series goes on (esp. in the fourth season).

I have not yet read the books so my hopes for who takes the iron throne would be Kalissi, Arya or Jon but mostly the Dragon mother! (as I was born the year of the Dragon so a little nepotism there) Also it may not matter in the books who takes the throne as being the author of the books has yet to write or finish the next book. the series will be back for its 8th season in the first half of 2019, and therefore will have veered off of whatever the story may be that George RR Martin writes (as I’m not sure if there is any communication between the creators of the show and the author, or what book(s) season 6 or 7 covered.

For those of you who haven’t started watching the series, by now you need to hurry and binge those first 7 seasons.

Season 4 I found to be the most exciting season so far. I have read in Entertainment weekly that the 4th season  had the shows highest ratings to that point and though I don’t want to see it end I can’t wait to see what happens throughout the rest of Westeros.

If you have watched every season but still have to catch up on the last few or on season 4, all I will say is don’t wait too long or it WILL be ruined! I will only say the last 2 episodes of season 4 were great! The 2nd to the last was epic and maybe a shocker or 2 for the finale!

Season 7 was absolutely epic especially the white army and the surprise that saddened me (and maybe many other fans as well)

So while I fear the last season I Can’t wait for the return
