THOR LOVE & THUNDER

The God of Thunder is back and he’s off to put the fear of Thor in a deadly new villain.

The film finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of Old Friends and lost loves, King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late

The Backstory

Dr. Michael Morbius is a nobel Prize winning biochemist who is diagnosed with a rare disorder that slowly dissolved his blood cells.

Working on a cure using bat blood to keep his disorder at bay, of course with a mishap (isn’t there always one in origin stories?)  The procedure left his skin pale, his eyes red, and his teeth elongated and gave him an insatiable thirst for blood. However Not dead so he’s the ‘living vampire’ and still had some of the perks of his dead brethren super strength, speed, heightened senses and night vision along with some of the downsides like burning in the sun. Since he was not a full-fledged vampire, these effects were only slightly enhanced, and the sun didn’t kill him. It just made things uncomfortable.

Morbius spent the rest of his time searching for a cure for his newfound condition.

Just a warning 

I think  you may have to see Spiderman No way home before seeing this. I saw maybe a minute of it and it sounded like it was going to spoil the Spidey for me. You can find the mentioned video in the spoilers section (as I do not want to ruin things for anyone.)

As planned I subscribed to Disney+ while here, at my aunt’s house cat sitting. What better way to give a new HD tv a test then with some HD superhero antics?
