I finally decided that it was time to raize the movie mania lens and ‘spin-off’ into a second lens, and this is what I came up with.
Now you will have the New Releases, News, Previews & reviews (with fewer extras) on Movie Mania and this seperate one for the rest.
Here there’s some top lists within featured lenses, books for the movies you’ve got to see before you die, some movie terms, and more.
Sorry for what I deem as ‘Thin’ content, but this is spillover from my Movie Mania Lens, and will Evolve over time I’m sure

The Cineaste: Poems
When I saw this I was so happy (I just wish there were more of the movies I have watched in it. There’s Metropolis (a silent film which I really couldn’t take watching) Red Shoes, Nosfratu, Do the RIght thing & others. Nosfratu is the one I read in whole as was the only one of interest to me. This one does not Rhyme so I take that most of them are in prose form.
If you love poetry & movies then you’ve got to get this book. All the poems are based on movies or just generically as well. You can give a look as amazon shows a sampling of some of the poems as well. Buy Now

What is Film Noir
Honestly I’m still trying to figure it out. I thought the film had to be at least in black in white, that the genre/sub genre or whatever you want to call it had to at least be in black and white. Upon taking a look through the following list, I see a few movies that came out from the 80s or 90s and maybe even a couple in the 200os, so there’s some in color. So what makes a Noir film? Does it have to have a dark tale, a mystery a certain type of direction or lighting? Let me know what you think after checking out the 100 best film Noirs of all time
