With the release of this movie I learned that this is a series of books written by Cressida (cool name) Cowell.

While I enjoyed getting to see Gerard Butler dressed up in the ‘viking’ garb (real Vikings didn’t wear horned helmets) and getting to see the characters truly come to life. There were parts I felt like were missing when it delt with Toothless. Little nuances. I always swore whoever came up with Toothless had to have known my cat Sully (at the time the original came out) as they were both black, had the same personality, cheeky, goofy etc the big soulful eyes and I was quite disappointed I didn’t see those parts in this movie. Sully passed in 2018 and I couldn’t bare to watch the last one for some time. But if the parts are in this that I said Toothless is like Sully, does that mean I’m starting to forget her ways?

Aside from that bit of personal stuff about the movie I believe It was a spot on remake of the animated original, however I think I like the animated one better. I think some things transformed to ‘real life’ better than others in this.

Still in mourning over their dead son/brother I think spider is my fave of the kids…ironically funny as I hate spiders.

Wind traders have what look like flying jelly fish. seeing them I was oohing and ahhing, made me felt like a wonderous child

I wish our worlds flora and fauna glowed like that, at least at night or certain time of year. Ok scientists you wanna play god and play with genetics etc!?!?! Make me a palm tree, a hibiscus 🌺, maple tree esp. the Japanese maple to do that sort of thing…. You may need some fireflies (however you’ll have to breed them as they are sadly endangered… Sure the bug I actually like) as well as those glow worm things and the scorpions etc that glow under black light)

Seems naterri’s oldest daughter is going to be a wise woman /shaman whatever you want to call it

The kids are attacked, and what are the “eggs” the ash leader shoots..and shoe goes on with her speech if you to call it that

I think that hard headed walking definition of toxic masculinity of the Colonel, may come around to Jake’s side. He actually shows a softer side a couple times in this.

I think that vortex ‘flux’ thing is something like a black hole or worm hole (I may be getting them confused) but things don’t disappear when it goes in it just gets ripped apart. Maybe I’d like it to a car crusher as well

I watched the first movie as I was a fan of Sam Worthington so Jake Sully was my favorite character, however with the new characters of the previous and this movie I believe I’ve evolved to Spider or Kiri (maybe both) being my favorite characters.

For a 3+ hour movie I was nervous that I was going to get bored. But thankfully for me it didn’t feel like it was. I’d say the pacing was perfect as it felt like a normal 2 hour movie. There’s enough going on, action scenes and BEAUTIFUL flora and fauna as well as different creatures to entertain you.

There’s a part of the movie where Col. asshole well I won’t say it but I’m thinking its a fake that somehow like the villain he is, he finds a way to cheat death to come back and annoy us. Apparently I may be right as on IMDB the next movie still lists him in it. (unless of course its just flashbacks)

Sadly we have to wait (according to IMDB) until 2029 and 2031 for the next instalments! I’m not sure how that can be right as from what I’ve read when James Cameron filmed I believe the 2nd movie that they filmed all the sequels together (unless it was when they filmed the third)

I may not be a Trekkie or whatever they call Star Wars fans but if there’s a nick name for Avatar fans I’d accept being one. I may not be super obsessed but I do have some books and trying to find a Turok makto toy figurine (that’s NOT a $40 collectible) I just want to put it up on my DVD/blu-ray library as I add little pieces of pop culture in the empty spaces as well as on top.

I think I liked this more than the Way of Water (aside from being on the water I don’t remember much of it). I do need to get it on blue-ray as well as this one as IF ITS NOT A HARD COPY you don;t really own it! (bought it on prime? YOU ONLY OWN IT AS LONG AS THEY HAVE THE RIGHTS TO IT.

Be sure to get a large popcorn and beverage you’ll need it! Lately I’ve been getting the TROPICAL Coca-cola (I’ve only seen it available in that machine my local Showcase Cinema uses for the soft drinks. Honestly I don’t think I’ve ever noticed it available when Dad and I stop at Wendy’s and he gets a soda. but I digress just a little recommendation.

once all the movies are out and I can maybe find an encyclopedia of all the names of the FLowers, plants and creatures I can maybe do a classic Cuts!
