2015  Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone Bill Murray and Alec Baldwin   RomCom ?

Watched on a movie station… but was there a plot to this that I missed?  Emma Stone’s character was SO annoying I was hoping Cooper’s character would back slap her most of the movie to shut up. She’s like that fly that keeps buzzing.. and no matter how many times you swat it away…it comes back! Then there’s the make-up fail where she looks like a porcelain doll with a bad tan (fake bake or spray much?)  she looked like she had an orange tinge. Waste of time other than Cooper’s blue eyes… I think he’s the only reason I watched through the whole movie or shall I say became background fodder while doing crafts or playing a game on kindle…

Damien

Mondays on A&E 10pm horror drama

Based on the movie series The Omen.
Here Damien does not seem to remember his childhood until a Damaskus woman grabs his face and memories come back in a flood.

I really can’t make any comments on it after just one episode,so i’ll have to wait at least 1 more week to write this.

Intriging and suspenseful come to mind, however feels a little slow in pace but the dark tone us perfect; I just hope we sink into it like the car in quicksand.

Damien played by Bradley James, who played King Arthur in Merlin who looks more rugged in this. He’s now a photo journalist, in this muddy plot… are we supposed to see him become the Antichrist in this? Barbara Hershey is what I suspect the nanny that cared for him (or maybe his real mother)

Do we really need another devil on on our TV screens…let alone Monday night…Lucifer is my Monday night date, cracks me up. The devil has been in and out of Supernatural’s storyline every few seasons.

I prefer to watch NY shows weekly, unless of course I wait for the video release then I usually watch a disk (3-4 episodes) a day. I think due to the pace, that it’s best to watch either by week or maybe 2 episodes at a time.

Not sure how the scales will tip…this may be a take it or leave it after 3 episodes, or just wait for full season

Literate gaming

Not sure if this is based on a book, but some of the illustrations look that way.

For those with a Kindle fire (or if available through google or iTunes) its a choose your own adventure game.
Take on thieves by fighting, or with a spell.
Great for playing in a waiting room (or a roadtrip, bathroom or boards st a family gathering)

Selfless

  1. PG-13 1:57 Ryan Reynolds

An elderly billionaire who they facing terminal cancer undergoes a ‘shedding’ surgery in which the tycoon’s brain is transplanted to another’s body.  The op is a success but once recovery ends.. He learns more than he’d like about the previous occupant.

I’ve one question for you…did this have at least average to good box office or reviews?

I ask because had I seen this in the theater I’d have told them I either want my money back in that pear beer (I go to Alamo Draft House) they have or I want my money back and put it toward a other movie. I probably would have fallen asleep.. After a time I lost interest, and though I left it on tho finish it..when I looked up from my entertainment…it was on the one hour mark!.. The Netflix sleeve said it was 1:57… But I think it was mor like 90 minutes maybe a tiny but more…

So its not entertaining, basically drags I can’t even think of one good action part (being as the body’s former self was a soldier) though was quick when he took dfiwn as few guys.  A big fat…..F

Goosebumps (The 2015movie)

2015   PG   1:43  stars  Jack Black

Based on the popular books by R. L. Stein..Jack Black plays the reclusive author living with his home schooled daughter Hanna.

Zach has moved to small town, Madison, Delaware 1 year after losing his dad and is not at all happy about the move, nuntil he meets Hannah the cute girl from next door.

“Who would lock a book?”

(Well someone with secrets of course!) Or books that magically com to life.

Omg that kid chompers… Err..Champ needs to go away!! He’s so annoying and obnoxious. What is with that …is that a slur or accent Jack Black is doing?

Slappys revenge; hey that would beva good title

Ooh there’s the twist… The daughter isn’t all there…

Well of what I remember of the TV series, I enjoyed those more. This was moderately entertaining, but a decent attempt. It sets up a sequel though I don’t remember it doing well at the theater or with reviews, so not sure if we will get that 2nd movie.

Everest

2015  Pg-13  2 hours  blu-ray

Stars… Jason Clarke, Sam Worthington, Josh Brolin, Jake Gyllanhall, & Keira Knightly also a blink and miss him Clive Standen

Based on the epic true life adventure of 2 climbing parties becoming trapped when a massive snow storm engulfs Mount Everest’s summit.

To start we get a short historical rundown of events.. 1953 first climbers summit Everest, 1992 pioneer of the commercial guide, and 1996 other commercial operations follow.

I knew of Viking’s actor Clive Standen had a role in this but other than the back of the head…I couldn’t find him; however a night or two ago I thought why I had not heard any projects with Sam Worthington nor in a movie lately.. And here he shows up!!

There’s some quite intense parts, however they didn’t make me feel the dire circumstances if the situation.

I liked Jason Clarke’s guide character, they way ge took care of his charges. (The way guides should be with a but of a helping hand, encouragement, and motivation.

Depending how you look at it, you could say there is no happy ending but at the same time there us tho a bittersweet ‘happy’ ending…
I guess Goonies (really) never say die!

I loved the scenery it was absolutely beasutiful and I suppose if I were really there would be breath taking (but then that could just be the cold air). After this I thought I should have waited till the summer to watch it and cool off…(well at least psychologically to try).

I have 1 problem though…there were times if not always…the characters weren’t wearing hats, gloves or face warmers (which i’m sure was mostly so you could see the actors faces). Yeah its supposed to be based on real life but I doubt the real peeps went up without masks

Furious 7

2015 PG-13 2:08 starring Vin Diesel, Paul Walker

Michelle Rodriguez, Tyreese Gibson, Ludacris, Dwayne Johnson Kurt Russel

Torettos crew of racers return to the u.s. to settle down but Declare is out for revenge. His brother left from fighting for his life in a hospital bed.

WAIT what kind of car has Neptune’s Trident as its emblem? I’ve never seen that before.

“They say we live in the hearts we leave behind…”

“I was reading your files and really impressed with your team; but meeting them, now…you truly have a gift”- Russell’s agent

A fave moment was the crew in Russell’s team’s workshop and s#!+ how do you top the tank stunt screen from last movie? Hint..(I’m singing) free fallin. A+ on that!

I think theres more cars in this movie than the past ones. As usual one giant car commercial!

I kept getting anxious in parts as i had forgotten that production had ended before Paul’s accident happened, so the part with the convoy had me freaking out and a couple others. Happy to say his character gets a happy ending and was classy, tho I think doing more movies wouldnt be.

Statham and Diesel fight…” What tools”😆

Can’t they do a spin-off with Ludacris and Tyreese? If i watch the movies beyond this one it would just be for their comedic refrain.

Great fight. Paul walker vs. Martial arts assassin “too slow” guy

“Woman i am the calvary” -the rock

Forget the name if that rare car in abu dabi but that was intense.

Paul’s Last scene (and the mock up of him) abd the look back on some scenes from the previous movies along with the song written for the movie after his death made me start crying.

I didn’t want to see the movie and tried to out it off as long as possible as imknewnits Paul’s last and thought I probably wouldnt be able to enjoy it with a geavy heart.

There were some parts i enjoyed Even tho i believe they were in the trailer i watched maybe once or twice, as i boycotted trailers after seeing them once or twice, cause they just make me sick of the movie
(like what i am currently experiencing with batman vs superman…over shown. even though i have ignored it, i hear it every commercial break it seems. so even trying to avoid trailers that may show too much…hearing them
Too often doesnt help either..im at the point i dont think i want to see it so ben as bat boy is the first strike (basevall not bowling)
Against and now this

I alsobdidnt mind the rock in it this time and the stunts topped those of the past. I felt indifferent while watching with a bleeding heart for paul so a B but likely an A if tradgedy had not put a damper on watching
