Captain Jack is down on his luck and finds more Ill will when Salazar and his Ghostly Ship come looking for Jack. This time we are on a search to “The Devil’s Triangle” (which I guess is just another name for the Bermuda triangle) to find the legendary trident of Greek god Poseidon, for which it gives full control over the seas to whoever possesses it. So a visit to Atlantis should be in store; it makes you wonder if we’ll see Aquaman? (sorry I couldn’t help the sarcasm). Jack, Salazar and Will Turner’s son plan’s to break his father’s curse with it.
The execution square scene has a few laughs (but haven’t we been here before, in one or 2 of the previous movies?) I still think the ship has sailed on this franchise. The movie doesn’t have the charm and magic the first 2 movies did. Forget about pirates… VIKINGS are in!
For those that are watchers of Sharknado… and Game of Thrones this has 3 zombie sharks, each looks more zombie-like than the last. I guess I’m trying to say they are in varying forms of decay.
Orlando Bloom and Keira knightly make cameos and I feel without them in most of the movie, that maybe that is one reason it lacked charm.
