The God of Thunder is back and he’s off to put the fear of Thor in a deadly new villain.
The film finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of Old Friends and lost loves, King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late
It’s going to be one epic adventure. THOR veterans Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, and writer/director Taika Waititi return with new faces Russell Crowe and Christian Bale in the latest chapter in the MCU saga.

Review
We open to what looks like it might be sand but the way it looks I’m not sure if its a desert or some other terrain at first. Then we see Bale and get the story of how his character Gorr becomes the God Butcher. After what I’d consider is a bit of a spoiler (why he becomes) he hears a whisper and sees an oasis across the desert, or is it a mirage?
He meets his god which I find amusing, and mocks him (this is the reason I am not really religious cause I I feel they do!) and the necro sword….
Korg is telling the story of Thor, Oh gods NO they did not! A bit of a tickle Thor riding stormbeaker as if its a broomstick! Thor has long hair again, why didn’t I notice that in the trailer? I thought we were through with long hair thor. There’s some creatures that he is up against, and look like an owl and a shaggy dog had a kid.
Jane I’d say her story in this is a major spoiler so I won’t write my notes on her intro in the story. Her and Darcy talking about playing the “Space Viking card’
Meanwhile Back in New Asgard They still have those plays like Loki had. (reusing old gags) Yes Matt Damon still plays Loki and going to look up now if The one who played THor in that is the same as in this and yes Luke (Older bro) Hemsworth plays Thor. (ok so now I sort of get the old Spice commercial lol) but wait there’s new additions to the play and wait THAT’s Sam Neil as Odin but its the other one that is surprising.
I want Thor’s shirt. It has Yggdrasil (the World tree) on it but sort looks to be shaped like a mjolnir charm
Still very much dislike there being a female Thor and even more so Natalie Portman as such. However Jane’s Mjolnir thanks to hela breaking it. The hammer has an added bonus, it can now hit more than one target at a time..

The god butcher arrives in the small village and some shadow creature(s) is taking the children, including Heimdall’s son. There’s a shadow realm (of course) so we get a little of black and white filming.
I don’t like Thor’s new gear, Any previous design was better. This looks way too DC or maybe more like a toy than a professionally made movie costume. (maybe that’s the reason I’ve felt nausea since the movie or maybe it was the 1/4 to half a large back of popcorn (yes with butter) I ate.
Need to go to omnipotency, need a ship and on that ship I swear I just saw some of the shields that was on the Vikings TV show. I mean exact patterns and coloring! (1 or 2 particular ones, and I can’t find the darn photo with them in it.) nor can I seem to find one of the ship with them on it. and the ship is called Aegir (which If I remember my Norse mythology etc right IS the name of the ship of the Aesir (but don’t quote me)
Thor seems so awkward with jane now, not like they once were. silly, Stormbreaker is jealous.
So our heroes are at omni thing and there’s a god of dumplings!!?!?! Crowe as Zeus does not suit him. Also to me the accent he’s doing sounds more like Italian ones I’ve heard not the few Greek ones I have.. Zeus wants to see who is hiding under the disguise, and not only rips off Thor’s, but all his clothes. And his ‘Zeusettes’, all faint. Even funnier, Zeus leaves his stage and has a ‘skirt’ on lifting it up as if a long dress.
i think but not sure I like Korgs pants (but then I haven’t been able to see much of the design and color.

AH! People think that all warriors go to Valhalla but not true and there was a someone who mentioned the same in a Norse FB group I’m in. You MUST DIE IN (during) the battle, not just be fatally wounded but die after it has ended. Also as Valkyrie says it must be devastatingly Painful to get into Valhalla.
Lacking an army but arrive at the Shadow realm (planet whatever) to me it just looks like a black and white earth. They have the showdown with Gorr No and Double No!

Christian Bale seems to me to be ‘chewing up the scenery’ but I am not using that in the right way, not by the usual definition (or maybe I partially am). Bale as the god slayer to me seems like he watched Billy Skarsgard in It and Voldermort in Harry potter for his inspiration on playing the role. I do however feel the same as Gorr with the Gods all being Hypocrites and they don’t really help when you ask (even if its the ONLY time to ever ask for something)

I noticed during the post credits while waiting for the Easter Egg scene, Chris’ kids names… I saw indiaRose but it took me a few seconds before it clicked. Looking on IMDB as, I didn’t see the reason they were all listed, Tristain Thor’s son plays Kid Thor! On Imdb they list a Sasha Hemsworth played ‘Asgardian kid’ Here’s an article on it
