2016 PG-13 2 hours DVD Sci-fi Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Jeff Daniels
This is what, the 3rd or 4th movie of the Veronica Roth adapted trilogy of novels.
In this ‘Bea’ (wait I forget they call her ‘trice, as in the end half of Beatrice) and four scale the wall with friends to leave what’s left of Chi-town (Chicago) behind. ON this adventure they learn several truths.
Once over the wall the landscape looks like that of another planet which was cool, though while on top of the wall you can tell they were in front of a green screen (I saw that ‘halo’ effect for lack of a better term) . They are taken by the Bureau of Genetic Welfare at Chcago O’hare airport “What’s an airport”
I do like their technology with those 3 disks that are camera and shield and helps them see targets before they become one.
Aside from the political, scocialist B.S. with the factions and labeling people it was cool until an hour through then it, it just drops in quality for me. To top it off the ending didn’t help it, it was lame and just lost it more points instead of being able to redeem itself . It should have just ended right at the end (maybe cliff hanger style) of the climax.
